Ephesians 3:20 – New King James Version (NKJV)
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
According to the Bible, humans consist of three parts: spirit, soul, and body, which can also be grouped into an inner and outer man. The outer man which is our physical body houses the inner man which is our spirit and soul that is the part that cannot be seen with the physical eyes. Just as the physical body has eyes, the spirit and the soul have eyes as well. The LORD communicates with us through our spirit, and HE opens the eyes of our spirit to see like HE sees when we are deeply rooted in Christ. This is our creative power: the imaginative power of the eyes of our spirit that brings spiritual blessings into physical manifestation.
The NIV version of the theme scripture puts it as “Now to HIM who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to HIS power that is at work within us,” The LORD opens the eyes of our spirit to see what HE has given to us. Just like the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:28-29: she kept thinking and imagining her healing and she was healed. We have received the HOLY SPIRIT as a guarantee of GOD’s promise (2 Corinthians 1:22). So let your assumptions, thoughts, and imaginations be in line with GOD’s word and the leading of HIS HOLY SPIRIT. According to scripture, our success depends on aligning our words and thoughts with God’s will and promises.
Through prayer and meditation on the WORD of GOD, the SPIRIT of the LORD opens our spirit eyes to show us things to come. The eye of our soul gives us the ability to imagine situations and through that create our world with what GOD has said – HIS WORD. For the WORD of GOD is SPIRIT, POWERFUL, LIVING & ACTIVE. Isaiah 55:11 – so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it. That is why nothing shall be impossible to them that believe in the LORD and in the power of HIS might. Abraham when he received the promise of a son received it in his spirit and GOD boosted his faith by creating a picture of his posterity when he counted the stars. The bible in Genesis 11:6 tells us, “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do”.
As Christians let us be fervent in spirit desiring the fullness of GOD’s power at work in us – the manifestation of the Seven Spirit of GOD (Ephesians 3:14-19, Isaiah 11:2). This you achieve through continued and fervent study of the scriptures and praying in the spirit always. This will increase the ability and the power of GOD at work in you.
There is a power at work in you, begin to see the manifestation of your heart’s desire with the eyes of your spirit. Let the power of your imagination begin to create the right situation. When a Christian is deeply rooted in Christ, their desire and ambition align with GOD’s will and programme. Seeing with the eyes of their spirit, and speaking (prophesying, confessing, & declaring) by faith in line with the WORD of GOD, this will bring their desire which they have spiritually received to physical manifestation.
