12 But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name:
Ephesians 1:18 – I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power. If only all Christians knew the supernatural power of GOD inherent in them. The bible in Genesis 1:26 & 27 says, “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;… ‘ 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them.” GOD created man in HIS image and likeness for a perfect world. Everything GOD created is good and perfect, and he gave man dominion over the world (Genesis 1:28-31). Man was made to live, subdue, and have dominion over a perfect world. However, Adam’s disobedience in the garden led to the corruption of this perfect world because he sold his birthright to satan. As a result, sin came into this world.
Blessed be GOD who has redeemed us from sin through the sacrifice of CHRIST Jesus on the cross of Calvary. This sacrifice not only wiped away our sin but reconciled us to GOD (Romans 5:1). This only gets better because the resurrection of CHRIST made us a new creation: a completely new, super extraordinary being different and superior to Adam, the first man. In Christ JESUS we are translated into GOD’s kingdom, and in the spirit, we dwell in the heavenly realms. This is the birthright of Sonship. We are no longer image or likeness of GOD, but as the theme scripture puts it, we are now sons of GOD. That means we are now begotten of GOD, Christ Jesus being the first of the begotten. For as many that believe in Jesus Christ and receive HIM into their hearts are now born of the SPIRIT, BLOOD & WATER (WORD). Adam’s disobedience in the garden of Eden can be described as a broken water tap which can only be fixed by replacement. GOD drove them away from the garden of Eden so as not to have access to the tree of life. They cannot have the tree of life and live forever while in a sinful state (Genesis 3:22 AMP). The blood of CHRIST JESUS completely wiped away sin. In Christ Jesus, we have eaten the tree of life and have become sons of GOD far better than an image or likeness. We are now sons created in HIS fullness, which we have received from glory to glory.
GOD put HIS Spirit, the HOLY SPIRIT, as a guarantee of this Sonship. This makes us gods (John 10:34) because we are born of GOD. The scriptures in 1 John 5:4 say, “ For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our[a] faith.” As Christians, let us learn to think, talk, and act like our FATHER, the Almighty GOD, for we are born of GOD. No wonder JESUS CHRIST says I do as I see my FATHER do. And we can all see the great works HE did. CHRIST JESUS in the same way has sent us as the FATHER sent him; and HE has given us all power and authority; and greater works shall we do more than he did (John 14:12). This starts with knowledge of GOD through the scriptures, and the continuous fellowship with the Spirit of GOD. This produces the fullness of GOD in us, whereby the power of GOD in us is able to do exceedingly abundantly above whatever we ask or imagine. In this we fulfil GOD’s will and live a glorious, victorious, and prosperous life.

Prayer:
Glorious FATHER, thank you for your mercy and steadfast love that never ceases. I am born of YOU, and I receive the supernatural ability to be Christ-like by the power of YOUR SPIRIT. Thank YOU for the gift of Sonship, and I reign on this earth as a king and a priest, expressing YOUR Glory always. In JESUS’ NAME. Amen!

Begotten of God

12But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—13who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified]. |

Just as the theme scripture puts it, we are now sons of GOD – Born (begotten) of GOD. Jesus Christ, the first of the begotten of GOD. That means we are now begotten of GOD, Christ Jesus being the first of the begotten. For as many that believe in Jesus Christ and receive HIM into their hearts are now born of the SPIRIT, BLOOD & WATER (WORD). We now belong to Christ Jesus as such the SEED OF ABRAHAM & HEIR ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE (Galatians 3:29).
This is still getting better. In Christ Jesus, God has given us all that pertains to life and godliness. We have now escaped the corruption of this world. As many who accept Jesus Christ as not just their saviour but their LORD – HE has given them the promise of HIS SPIRIT. This makes us the expression of HIS DIVINE NATURE (2 Peter 1:4). A born-again, Spirit-filled Christian now has the ability to function in the SUPERNATURAL & has overcome the negativity of the world.
GOD put HIS SPIRIT, the HOLY SPIRIT, as a guarantee of this Sonship. This makes us gods (John 10:34) because we are born of GOD. Therein lies true worship, and we can fully be the expression of HIS LOVE, GLORY & POWER. No wonder JESUS CHRIST says, “I do as I see my FATHER do”. This produces the fullness of GOD in us, so that the power of GOD in us can do exceedingly abundantly above whatever we ask or imagine. In this we fulfil GOD’s will and live a glorious, victorious, and prosperous Christian life.

4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Christians constantly face battles of different kinds, but it’s important to understand that our battle is not physical. 2 Corinthians 10:3 says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh”. These physical challenges are only expressions of the battle in the spirit realm. Victory starts with your mind. The battlefield is in the mind of a Christian. Satan’s mission is to mount strongholds in your mind; if not pulled down will cause a Christian to lose their inheritance and every promise of the FATHER in CHRIST. The scripture tells us to keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life – Proverbs 4:23. From the theme scripture, we understand that we are not defenceless against these battles; rather, we have been equipped with weapons mighty in GOD (Ephesians 6:13-17). These strongholds are ideas, imaginations, assumptions, traditions, reasonings embedded in one’s thoughts before they manifest in physical forms such as retrogression, inferiority complex, failure and so on. Arguments and high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of GOD are world systems which include philosophical ideas, political and economic systems that are contrary to the word or knowledge of GOD found in the scriptures. Things that oppose the doctrines of CHRIST. People’s upbringing, habits and characters that they imbibe in their spirit become strongholds that stop the power of GOD in their lives. Out of the abundance of the mind a man speaks (Matthew 12:34).
As a Christian, your role in this battle is to firstly be knowledgeable of your weapons of warfare (armour of GOD), and understand what they are and how to use them. Of the 6 pieces of our weapons, only one is an offensive weapon: the sword of the Spirit. The sword of the Spirit is our confession of the word of GOD when dealing with a situation. You cannot profess or confess what you do not know or believe. It is very important to know and understand that we have a responsibility in this battle. It starts with our mindset. A man is the product of his mind, which is a direct function of the knowledge imbibed in his spirit. The journey of our life is fruitful and productive only when we are armed with the Word of GOD – Psalms 119:105 (our feet shod in preparation with the gospel of peace): that knowledge of the Word of GOD is what gives us the ammunition to cast down anything contrary to the Word of GOD; then our thoughts and imaginations, which determine our mentality (reasoning); Speech (life and death are in the tongue – Proverbs 18:21); conduct; actions; and lifestyle will then conform to the principles of GOD found in HIS word. When we come out triumphant in every battle as Christians, we prove the good, acceptable and perfect will of GOD.
As a Christian, do not be discouraged, for you are more than a conqueror. We already have the victory in CHRIST. For we have been equipped with all we need to come out victorious always in every place. Glory to GOD for equipping us with an impregnable and indestructible armour.

Prayer:
Glorious FATHER, thank You for equipping me with an impregnable and indestructible armour. I take up Your full armour that causes me to live a triumphant life worthy of Your kingdom and Glory. In JESUS’ NAME. Amen!

Victory in Christ

Christians must be conscious that they are constantly in a spiritual battle, even though CHRIST has already won the war (Ephesians 6:12). The bible tells us of the victory CHRIST won for us on the cross through HIS death and resurrection. Colossians 2:14-15 says, “He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed[d] the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. Although a lot of people use the words battle and war interchangeably. There is a significant difference. In a war, there are several battles. A war involves several battles, which are significant actions (battles) to achieve the objective. CHRIST defeated satan once and for all. The war has been won on the cross.
Until the 2nd coming of CHRIST, we are in a constant battle with satan, with his sole objective of robbing us of experiencing this victory and glory in Christ. As a Christian, know that you are indestructible, untouchable, and the desire of GOD is to ensure you triumph in every battle. And HE will never permit anything that will destroy you (1 Corinthians 10:13). However, it is our knowledge of the Word of GOD, our relationship and our submission to the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT that is needed. In CHRIST JESUS, we have been equipped with every weapon needed to triumph over satan and his cohorts of darkness (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Firstly, you must have the mindset that you are already a victor, and the outcome of the war has been decided. Secondly, recognise your weapons of warfare through the knowledge of the Scriptures and by applying the principles of GOD in the Scriptures. Thirdly, as a Christian, GOD has sent you on a mission: do not wait until it’s too late. Also, never underestimate the power of praying in the Spirit and prophesying (speaking the word of GOD). Every challenge we face as Christians has been permitted by GOD. It is strictly for our own good and to usher us from one level of glory to higher levels of glory (James 1:2-4). Our victory (testimony) is a sweet fragrance that spreads the knowledge of GOD in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Do not take for granted the victory of CHRIST on the cross. Although the war has been won, there is an ongoing battle until CHRIST comes again. We must therefore be deeply rooted in CHRIST and not disconnected from the vine (John 15:4). To be disconnected is to expose oneself to the enemy and be vulnerable to HIS attack. A Christian may be born again, but if they do not practice righteousness, obey the word of GOD & do what it says, and actively seek the will of GOD for their lives, they become vulnerable to the enemy. The Scripture clearly tells us that all power and authority have been given to us by GOD in CHRIST JESUS (Luke 10:19). Thanks be to GOD, who gives us the victory through our Lord JESUS CHRIST.
