John 12:46 – New King James Version (NKJV)
46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.
The day you believed in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, made the confession, and make the conscious effort to start a new life in Christ, discovering GOD’s will and purpose for your life and walking in it. This is the journey of salvation, empowerment and transformation. Then you are truly born again. A new creation. Just as the main verse puts it you will no longer remain in darkness. This means you were delivered completely from every form of darkness be it failure, poverty, infirmities, or any sort of satanic oppression.
Before you were born again you had a way of thinking, a set ideas and philosophy about life and the way it should be. Your environment, experience, culture, family upbringing has shaped the course of your life. Being a new creation GOD has ushered you into a new life and put HIS Spirit in you as a guarantee of a glorious life filled with goodness. A life of the spirit where your spirit man controls the mind and the body and not vice versa. This new life has a manual for success and that is HIS WORD. John 15:3 “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you….” The WORD of GOD cleanses you from unrighteousness, every darkness and makes you a shining light. The reason some Christians still go from deliverance to deliverance is because they are not deeply rooted in Christ. One thing is to receive Christ another thing is to be in Christ (to dwell in the word of GOD).
Importantly, we are not only redeemed but we now belong to Christ Jesus as such heirs according to the promise. It only gets better: our Heavenly FATHER raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:1-7). A place of power and authority where we have been given the power and authority to be the expression of our Heavenly FATHER proclaiming HIS excellencies here on earth. HIS DIVINE NATURE NOW AT WORK IN US. We now have the power and authority to chart our lives according to HIS perfect will. Deliverance is for the unbeliever: those in darkness. And not a Christian that is in the kingdom of light. As described in the scriptures Ephesians 1 & 2: GOD made us Christians to sit together with CHRIST JESUS in the heavenly places far above every principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
A Christian can only be oppressed by forces of darkness when they are ignorant of the WORD of GOD. Now that we have CHRIST in us, let us put away everything be it knowledge, culture or philosophy that does not align with the knowledge of GOD. Put on the new man in CHRIST so as not to lose the blessings which is your inheritance (Colossians 2:8-9). Not just to agree with the WORD of GOD but to practice the WORD. This ensures a life of continuous victory, a life of success. Christ said it is finished. Now it is up to us to be that light & operate from a realm of victory.

Prayer
Glorious FATHER, thank you for translating me into the kingdom of Your Son JESUS CHRIST. I am born again and deeply rooted in CHRIST. I receive the inheritance and the glorious power of your WORD and SPIRIT to function effectively as Your child. in JESUS NAME.

I am no longer in darkness! I am a child of light for I dwell in CHRIST!
