Daniel 11:32 – New King James Version (NKJV)
32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.
As Christians, it’s our duty to know the ways of the LORD our GOD and to understand that anything that would cause us to deviate from HIS laws and precepts is a deception. Deviating from the ways of GOD only leads to destruction. When we know the LORD, HIS power and Glory is revealed in us, which causes us not only to be strong but to do great exploits. The knowledge of GOD makes our love for HIM grow stronger and we become intentional in our relationship with HIM. When a Christian increases in the knowledge of GOD, they find this FATHER–child relationship more exciting, for GOD reveals HIS ways to us. We are then assured of HIS mighty acts (blessings) in our lives. The knowledge of GOD makes us Christ-like in our ways and we become the expression of GOD’s love, power and glory.
As we go through our mortal journey on earth, we will face diverse temptations from Satan and his cohorts of darkness with the sole purpose of steering us away from GOD’s will and purpose for our lives. Sometimes these temptations may be difficult situations such as financial, health, ministry, business, relationship or career challenges. But through the knowledge of GOD, we overcome. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV (No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it).
Satan is very cunning. Not all temptations take the form of difficult situations. Sometimes these temptations could be subtle. They may appear to be morally justified before the world. At other times they appeal to human nature. If not checked, a child of GOD would gradually fall into sin and lose their salvation, the flattery of the world painting a picture that there is no hope in GOD. This is where Christians are seduced and deceived to trust in their ability, the power to obtain financial success at the expense of their salvation, and trust in politics, science and technology. Success is now defined by one’s ability and not the blessings of GOD. If a Christian is not careful this becomes their reality.
We are now born of GOD in Christ Jesus, and as such we have been given all that we require to live a victorious Christian life and godliness. This makes us function like our FATHER – OUR DIVINE NATURE (supernatural ability) which causes Grace and peace to be multiplied in our lives through the knowledge of HIM. If we refuse or disregard the knowledge of GOD, we do wickedly against HIS covenant (HIS WORD) and are deceived by satan and those who operate in the world for him. When we earnestly and patiently seek the LORD, HE will make HIS ways known to us.
The scriptures in Hosea 4:6 AMP says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [of My law, where I reveal My will]. Because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.” Through faith and patience, we obtained the promises of GOD (Hebrews 6:12). Faith comes from knowing the LORD through the scriptures and continued prayer. The fellowship with HIS SPIRIT, and our personal relationship that comes with experience, through exercising our faith, will also make us increase in the knowledge of our FATHER. Let us therefore make every effort to know the LORD that shall make us strong – victorious and more than conquerors in CHRIST JESUS – and cause us to do great exploits.
