REVELATIONS FOR TODAY by Pastor Michael Obata
Colossians 3:23 – Amplified Version (AMP)
23 Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,
People go through challenging times with business, career, investments, or their source of earnings. The desire for a reliable source of income, financial independence, or better sources of income can pose a challenge in our current world. As Christians, though we are not of this world, we also dwell physically in this world, and as such, we sometimes go through challenging times. If we truly follow GOD, everything will work out for our good (Romans 8:28). Let us hold on to the promises of our LORD Jesus Christ, for in HIM we have victory. The bible in Proverbs 2:29 says, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before obscure men.” Whatever you find yourself doing now, commit it to the LORD and give it your best. You will eventually succeed and prosper.
Some Christians may focus on pursuing success. In the kingdom of GOD, true success comes from improving yourself. This starts with improving your mind. We are not ordinary, we are supernatural. GOD designed us to diligently seek HIM through HIS WORD & HIS SPIRIT. This approach can help us achieve success in various endeavours. Joshua 1:8 – “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” There is a version of you that attracts success and greatness. When you strive to be that version, the Supernatural principles of our kingdom – the kingdom of GOD – shall cause you to prosper and have good success. We are of the GOD-kind. Unbelievers may chase success in one area and be successful, but if you look deeper, you will find failure in other areas of their lives. Secondly, and most importantly, they do not have the gift of salvation.
Psalms 75:7 – “It is GOD who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.” Our Heavenly FATHER makes all things beautiful in His time. Be diligent and not slothful with whatever you find doing presently – Be it business, career, ministry – give it your best. Be faithful and diligent. Let the service or product you provide be as though it is for the LORD. The LORD, who sees your heart, will build you for greatness and reward you accordingly. The bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6 “………., for he who comes to GOD must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM”.
1 Peter 5:6 – So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honour. Do not despise the days of little beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). Give your best and remain faithful in every season of your life. As a Child of GOD, put aside carelessness, resentment, nagging attitude, slothfulness & laziness; and see the glory of GOD manifest in your life. Be diligent and faithful in all that you do, not just in activities that bring income. Your diligent and loyal service to society, the church family (Body of CHRIST) and in general the kingdom of GOD expresses your spiritual maturity. This will enable you to prosper and have good success. TRUST IN GOD’S TIMING & REMAIN STEADFAST. GOD IS PUTTING EVERYTHING IN PLACE FOR YOUR GOOD AS YOU BECOME THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF.
