RFT - Command Your Day

Command Your Day

REVELATIONS FOR TODAY by Pastor Michael Obata

Job 38:12 – New King James Version (NKJV)

12 “Have you commanded the morning since your days began, And caused the dawn to know its place,

If only Christians new the riches of GOD’s glorious inheritance and the exceeding greatness of His power at work in them, they would exercise that power and authority more often. Christ Jesus in Luke 10:19 says “Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.” Some Christians have limited understanding and a misconception of what it means to be a Christian (born of GOD). In this dispensation we do not look unto GOD to make the changes in our lives rather we acknowledge, believe HIS divine power works in us and live accordingly. Being a Christian does not mean you identify to a religion. It means that divinity is at work in you. That makes you supernatural: a god – born of GOD. One who has overcome the negativity of this world (1 John 5:4-5). Now GOD expects you to exercise HIS power and the authority given to you to align your universe according to HIS will and destiny for you planned even before the foundations of this world (Ephesians 2:10).

GOD has given to us several instructions, principles, orders, and directions on how we ought to conduct ourselves in this world. These are found in the scriptures and taught when we fellowship together. Unfortunately, some Christians refuse to study and meditate on the scriptures (Joshua 1:8) and refuse the gathering where we fellowship with one another, and the many blessings associated with these gatherings (Hebrews 10:25). The greatest promise of GOD fulfilled in Christ Jesus is the promise of the SPIRIT of GOD dwelling in us. The bible in Joel 2:28 says “And it shall come to pass afterward, That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, ……. This is GOD dwelling in us making us kings and priest unto HIM reigning on this earth (Revelations 5:10). Commanding your day is taking authority over the outcome of your day and not leaving it to wickedness of this world controlled by Satan and his cohorts of darkness. Commanding your day is ensuring that it is aligned with GOD’s will and purpose for that day. This is the very confidence that we have of victory- our faith. Unfortunately, some Christians seem to have their priorities wrong. Their day never starts with GOD rather it is set on other things. A principle found in the scriptures is the first fruit principle that applies to a lot more than finances. We ought to give GOD our daily first fruit – dedicate the first part of our day to HIM. Mark 1:35 – Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. Jesus Christ commanded HIS day. Commanding you day connects you more to GOD, takes you away from the world and centres your day on GOD and HIS presence.

The following verse: Job 38:13 says, “That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?” This ought to get our attention. When we command our day, every negativity is shaken off our path. What a glorious Christian life. We are assured that even when the day does not exactly come out as we planned, we have that confidence that it is working out for our good (Romans 8:28). Is all part of our FATHER’s divine plan. Let us take control of our day speaking forth faith filled words. For all power and authority has been given to us to shape our day in line with GOD’s plan. For we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.
