John 1:12-13 – Amplified Bible (AMP)
12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—13 who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].
The bible in Genesis 1:26 & 27 says “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; ………….” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” GOD created man in HIS image and likeness for a perfect world. Man was made to live, subdue and have dominion over a perfect world. However, Adam’s disobedience led to the corruption of GOD’s perfect creation. Blessed be GOD who has redeemed us from sin through the sacrifice of CHRIST Jesus on the cross of Calvary. This sacrifice not only wiped away our sin but reconciled us to GOD.
This only gets better because the resurrection of CHRIST made us a new creation: a completely new super extraordinary being different and superior to Adam the first man. In Christ JESUS we are translated into GOD’s kingdom and in the spirit, we dwell in the heavenly realms. This is the birthright of Sonship. We are now more than an image or likeness of GOD. Just as the theme scripture puts it, we are now sons of GOD – Born (begotten) of GOD. Jesus Christ, the first of the begotten of GOD. That means we are now begotten of GOD, Christ Jesus being the first of the begotten. For as many that believe in Jesus Christ and receive HIM into their hearts are now born of the SPIRIT, BLOOD & WATER (WORD). We now belong to Christ Jesus as such the SEED OF ABRAHAM & HEIR ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE (Galatians 3:29).
This is still getting better. In Christ Jesus, God has given us all that pertains to life and godliness. We have now escaped the corruption of this world. As many who accept Jesus Christ as not just their saviour but their LORD – HE has given them the promise of HIS SPIRIT. This makes us the expression of HIS DIVINE NATURE (2 Peter 1:4). A born-again, Spirit-filled Christian now has the ability to function in the SUPERNATURAL & has overcome the negativity of the world.
GOD put HIS SPIRIT, the HOLY SPIRIT, as a guarantee of this Sonship. This makes us gods (John 10:34) because we are born of GOD. The scriptures in 1 John 5:4 say, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” Let us therefore know the ways of our FATHER and not just HIS acts (Mighty Power). Therein lies true worship, and we can fully be the expression of HIS LOVE, GLORY & POWER. No wonder JESUS CHRIST says, “I do as I see my FATHER do”. This produces the fullness of GOD in us, so that the power of GOD in us can do exceedingly abundantly above whatever we ask or imagine. In this we fulfil GOD’s will and live a glorious, victorious, and prosperous Christian life.

Prayer
Heavenly FATHER, thank You for begetting me in Christ Jesus and giving me the right, authority and power to be Your son. In JESUS NAME. Amen!
