If Christians were more aware of the extent of GOD’s inheritance and the magnitude of His power at work in them, they would utilize that power and authority effectively, rather than respond out of fear. Christ Jesus in Luke 10:19 says “Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.” Some Christians have limited understanding and a misconception of what it means to be a Christian (born of GOD). In this dispensation of Grace through Christ Jesus, the power of GOD in us gives the ability to make the changes in our lives according to HIS will as revealed in HIS promises, principles, covenant, and the efficacy of HIS Word. Being a Christian means that divinity is at work in you. It is not a religion as the world would make it. That makes you supernatural: a god – born of GOD (John 10:34-35).
Now GOD expects you to exercise HIS power and the authority given to you to align your universe according to HIS will and destiny for you planned even before the foundations of this world (Ephesians 2:10). GOD has given to us several instructions, principles, orders, and directions on how we ought to conduct ourselves in this world. These are found in the scriptures and taught when we fellowship together. Unfortunately, some Christians refuse to study and meditate on the scriptures (Joshua 1:8), refuse the gathering of saints (Hebrews 11:25) and miss the blessings associated with these principles. The greatest promise of GOD fulfilled in Christ Jesus is the promise of the SPIRIT of GOD dwelling in us. The bible in Joel 2:28 says “And it shall come to pass afterward, That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, ……. This is GOD dwelling in us making us kings and priest unto HIM reigning on this earth (Revelations 5:10). A king’s word carry’s power (Matthew 12:37). Proverbs 18:21 states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Ordering your day is taking authority over the outcome of your day and not leaving it to spiritual wickedness of this world controlled by Satan and his cohorts of darkness (Job 38:13). Ordering your day is ensuring that it is aligned with GOD’s will and purpose for that day. This is the very confidence that we have of victory – our faith. Unfortunately, some Christians never start their day with GOD. Mark 1:35 – Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. Jesus Christ ordered HIS day. Ordering your day connects you more to GOD and HIS presence. It takes you away from the negativity of the world and centres your day on Christ.
When we command our day, every negativity is shaken off our path. We are assured that even when the day does not go exactly as we planned, we have that confidence that it is working out for our good (Romans 8:28). Is all part of our FATHER’s divine plan. Let us take control of our day speaking forth the promises, covenant, and principles of our FATHER’s Word. For all power and authority has been given to us to order our day in line with GOD’s plan.

Prayer:
Heavenly FATHER, thank You for the gift of Your Word and Your HOLY SPIRIT that has given me power and authority to shape my universe. Glorious FATHER, make me to know Your ways and function as the King and priest that I am in Christ Jesus. In JESUS NAME. Amen!

Maximise Your Time
Ephesians 5:16-17

16making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is.
Most people make plans for the new year. They set desired objectives and goals. Some people want to be closer to GOD, financially independent, live a healthy lifestyle, better relationships, move up in their career or social ladder and so on. This world is challenging, filled with its troubles, and many abandon their goals within the first few weeks. However, have you considered GOD’s plan for you and how you fit into HIS overall programme for the church and the world at large? It is up to us, HIS children, to recognise and take advantage of each opportunity HE has given to us. Therefore, let us not be foolish and thoughtless but understand and firmly grasp what the will of our Heavenly FATHER is. Our heavenly Father has prepared opportunities daily and in every season for us to make an impact in HIS Kingdom and to live a glorious life on earth. 1 Chronicles 12:32 says, “of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do ……….”
This world is not going to get any better. However, as the world gets darker, we, the children of God, shine brighter for the LORD uses the darkness to show HIMSELF powerful in our lives. For HE turns the foolishness of this world to work out for our good as long as we fulfil HIS will and purpose for our lives and rely on the leading of HIS SPIRIT in all things. Let us take advantage of the SPIRIT of GOD with us; in us and upon the Grace of GOD’s Word to live a glorious life here on earth. Bearing in mind the GOD kind of success is not in the abundance of our possessions (Luke 12:15) but in fulfilling our GOD-giving purpose here on earth.
Some Christians fail to realise their goals and objectives every year because they do not employ the principles of God. Firstly, a child of God should not set their own objectives or agenda for God to accomplish. The scriptures in Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Mature children of GOD are referred to as sons in this scripture. A mature child of GOD seeks GOD’s objective and goals for his life. In fulfilling God’s purpose for your life, everything you need or want is then added to you (Matthew 6:33). You will not struggle in life. Also, consistent and continued prayer, especially praying in the spirit, will keep you focused and strengthened to overcome every obstacle or challenge along the way. Meditating on the Word of GOD and praying in the Spirit will constantly refresh you, and your willpower shall be at full strength. Declaring the Word of GOD makes the weapon of the enemy ineffective.
As Christians, let us make the most of the time as we see the day of the LORD draw near. Let our focus be on the kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness. Let your heart’s desire align with GOD’s objectives and purpose for your life, and you will be amazed at how the power of GOD at work in you will produce your heart’s desire, goals and objectives beyond your asking or imagination. Christ Jesus in John 9:4 says, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” Take advantage of the Grace of GOD and redeem the times, and reap the benefits of GOD’s will and purpose for your life.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for a glorious life in CHRIST JESUS, that has made me victorious in life. Father, I surrender myself to the leading of Your SPIRIT, and I receive the Grace to make the most of my time on earth, accomplishing Your Will and Purpose for my life this year and beyond. In JESUS NAME.
Confession:
I make the most of my time bearing fruits, for the SPIRIT of GOD leads me!

These Qualities
2 Peter 1:8

8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The world is challenging, and Christ Jesus tells us of the signs of HIS return, which is the world getting more challenging (Matthew 24). Irrespective of the challenge, one thing is certain: if we follow the principles, laws, and commandments of GOD the fullness of GOD will be at work in us. The scriptures in 2 Peter 1:5-7 say, “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” These qualities are produced in a Christian when they build themselves up continuously with the WORD of GOD and fellowship with the HOLY SPIRIT (Jude 1:20, Acts 20:32).
2 Peter 1:2-3 – Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Through these, He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. When a SPIRIT-filled Christian is imbued with the revelation knowledge of GOD – knowing GOD through personal experience of HIS WORD, having a full understanding of how it impacts your life and by faith putting HIS WORD to practice in your life – you will neither be ineffective nor unproductive in your relationship with Christ Jesus. Some Christians are overwhelmed with challenges and do not experience the glorious Christian life because they do not have full knowledge of GOD. They have heard of the power of GOD but have not experienced the Glory & power of GOD for themselves because they know not the scriptures nor the power of GOD.
Our Heavenly FATHER in Christ Jesus has made us partakers of HIS divine nature. It is the desire of our Heavenly FATHER for us to be the expression of HIS DIVINE NATURE. This means as children of GOD it is only NATURAL to function in the SUPERNATURAL. Our LORD Jesus says, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’? If he called them gods to whom the word of GOD came—and the Scripture cannot be broken— (John 10:34-35) “. When we add to our faith virtue, and to virtue, knowledge, and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love, we shall neither be barren nor unproductive as Christians.
Our continued fellowship with the SPIRIT of our FATHER and HIS WORD causes us to be successful and prosperous. Make every effort to study, meditate and practice the word of GOD. The word of GOD works – live it, always declare the WORD, and let your heart be filled with the WORD. Then you will exceed the limit of the sky as you become the expression of GOD’s DIVINE NATURE.

Everlasting FATHER, Thank You for making me the expression of Your DIVINE NATURE. FATHER, cause Your Grace and peace to be multiplied in my life always, that shall cause me to be fruitful and productive always. IN JESUS NAME.

Build Yourself
John 1:20

20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit,
The Spirit of GOD (HOLY SPIRIT) guarantees the promise of GOD in our lives as HIS children. The SPIRIT of GOD is what gives us the divine nature of GOD and HIS power (supernatural ability) at work in us. The scriptures in 2 Peter 1:3-4 says, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” Our spirit man, just like mobile phones, needs to be constantly built up with the HOLY SPIRIT and the WORD of GOD. To be built up is to be energised, equipped with the supernatural ability, the power and authority to fulfil GOD’s plan for our lives and in turn be a blessing to others.
To build oneself on the foundation of the Christian Holy faith is to be built up in the WORD of GOD (the Scriptures). The WORD of GOD causes us to prosper and have good success. It enables us to fulfil GOD’s plan for our lives even when faced with obstacles. Just like David strengthened himself in the LORD (1 Samuel 30:6), we strengthen ourselves in the WORD of GOD and HIS SPIRIT. Strengthening oneself goes beyond physical strength. The WORD & SPIRIT of GOD strengthens us spiritually, financially, and otherwise. Christ Jesus says for without me you can do nothing (John 15:5). As Christians, we are the branch connected to CHRIST JESUS, the WORD of GOD: the vine. One cannot be fruitful if they are not constantly and continually connected to the WORD of GOD. When Christians are not connected to the vine, they are exposed to challenges that overwhelm and make them defeated in life. Attending church services, being in the gathering of fellow believers, especially in the house of GOD is a means with which we are built up in the WORD and the HOLY SPIRIT.
Praying in the HOLY SPIRIT causes us to be filled with the SPIRIT. It makes a child of GOD to be led by GOD and fulfil HIS will and purpose (Romans 8:14). It is impossible to take steps of faith or live that glorious life promised by GOD if one is not built up in the HOLY SPIRIT. Being filled with the Spirit causes us to experience the supernatural, where we reign on this earth as kings and priests unto God. Being filled with the Spirit gives us the ability to invite the Host of heaven into situations that concern us on earth. When we receive a Word from the HOLY SPIRIT concerning our ministry, career, business, health, finances and so on, it is our being filled with the Spirit that gives us the energy, will, & motivation, both spiritual and physical, to bring it to fruition.
An important principle is found in the teaching of our LORD Jesus Christ in Matthew 12:43-45 – When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.” If a Christian doesn’t continually build themselves up in the SPIRIT and in the WORD, they expose themselves to the wiles and wickedness of the devil and HIS cohorts of darkness. Let us therefore constantly meditate on the Word of God and pray in the Spirit always, that we may be prosperous and successful here on earth, achieving God’s purpose for our lives, recognising and taking advantage of God-given opportunities and His grace (supernatural ability), especially in these challenging times. Praise GOD!
