The Godly Mother
Proverbs 31:28
English Standard Version (ESV)
28 Her children rise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
Proverbs 31:30 says, “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” A Christian mother is a God-fearing woman, upright in all her ways. One filled with excellence, displaying the virtues of CHRIST. GOD created women to be the helper of men; one suitable, and comparable to him. GOD chose the woman to carry life – nurturing is second nature. Give a virtuous woman a house, and she will turn it into a home. Give a virtuous woman a seed, and she will turn it into a harvest. A virtuous woman keeps her husband and the children happy and focused. There is a popular saying: “behind every successful man, there is a woman”– for a woman could be an instrument of success or failure.
Success in life is guaranteed by the SPIRIT of GOD in our lives through CHRIST. A mother has a big influence on the success of a child. For it is her responsibility as a parent to raise godly children. Mothers who have genuine faith have a positive influence on the lives of their children through the HOLY SPIRIT because they are amongst the ways GOD works HIS plan for our lives. 2 Timothy 1:5 – “I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am convinced is in you as well.” We cannot underestimate the importance of God-fearing mothers in our society. The chaos in our society is partly due to the lack of mothers with genuine faith.
The bible tells of many mothers who did great exploits in the bible. Esther saved a nation from destruction. And Abigail saved her home. Mary, the mother of JESUS CHRIST, for there were several virgins at that time, but she was chosen and favoured amongst women. For she was a woman with honour and integrity. One who would never depart from the path destined for her: the mother of the saviour of the world. Lois, who impacted Eunice and, in turn, Timothy. They raised Timothy in the way of the Lord, and he did not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Timothy did great exploits even at an incredibly young age.
A Christian mother is the priceless jewel in the crown of a man’s head. A man’s fame or material acquisitions are of no worth if that glory is not seen in his wife and children. A praying mother guarantees the success of her husband and children. The Christian mother defends her home. She has the full trust and confidence of her husband and children. A Christian mother is resourceful and innovative. She submits to her husband, and she is loved by her husband. A Christian mother is loving and kind. She gives good counsel to her husband and children. Her delight is in keeping the statutes of the LORD. She is productive and fruitful. She has many children, but only a few from her womb because she is the mother of the nation (Titus 2:3-5). Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the qualities of a Christian mother. These qualities are not just imbued in every woman. They are the manifestations of CHRIST in her. See a man prosperous & successful; he has a godly mother & a godly wife: VIRTUOUS WOMEN.
Scripture meditation:
Proverbs 31:10-31; Genesis 2:18 & 20, Proverbs 18:22; 1 Peter 3:1-6 & Titus 2:3-5.
Prayer:
Glorious FATHER, grant all the Christian mothers an excellent spirit that they may fulfil your will and purpose for their lives; raise godly children; and be virtuous women, Spirit-filled, bringing honour and glory to your name. In Jesus’ name.
Confession:
The word and the Spirit of GOD are at work in me. I am an excellent mother (The word and the SPIRIT of GOD is at work in my wife and mother; they are excellent mothers).

Shine As Lights
Philippians 5:14-15
New King James Version (NKJV)
14Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
There are people in this world who complain about anything and everything. They are overly pessimistic and see negativity in every situation. A child of GOD should not behave in this manner. A child of GOD sees the righteousness of GOD in every situation. A Christian brings light to a situation: one who brings a solution to negative situations. Complaining is a characteristic that should not be found in a Christian. For a Christian to complain is a sign that they have no trust in the LORD. Also, it is a sign they know not the word of GOD nor the power of HIS might. Grumbling or complaining shows ungratefulness.
GOD never told us that being a Christian is to live in a world free of problems. However, GOD promised that in all challenges we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37) and HE has already made a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Every challenge in the life of a Christian is to refine them and bring forth the glory of GOD in their lives. Complaining causes a negative contagious effect among believers, especially in the Household of faith. Never find yourself always complaining about anything and everything. People who complain see only negativity. Complaint sees limitations. But the GOD-kind of faith sees possibilities and opportunities for progress. Christians who complain are not trained in righteousness (to see the righteousness of GOD in a situation). Remember, as a Christian, you are a light. A Christian is to bring light to every darkness and not create more darkness. Complaining demotivates people. GOD puts us in a place and puts people in our lives for our mutual benefit. There is something you can give to make something or a situation better. You were designed for that purpose. Every Christian has been equipped with the power and authority to shape their universe in line with GOD’s will and purpose through the word of GOD (Hebrews 11:3). The children of Israel were full of grumbling, and the LORD dealt with them. Their complaints caused Moses not to step into the promised land. Do not be Christians who speak and complain against your leaders, especially the household of faith, for they give account for your souls. Let your request be known to GOD in prayer. To speak ill of a leader is to speak against GOD. They are vessels with which GOD carries out HIS works. As a child of GOD never find yourself complaining about anything because everything, absolutely everything, is working out for your good. Verse 13 of the Theme chapter says, “for it is GOD who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure”. The LORD turns around problems because of the mistakes of HIS children for their good when they truly repent.
We are blessed to be a blessing (a solution). Learn to see with the eyes of GOD: the eyes of righteousness. Never see people or situations the way they are now, but see what they shall be or what the situation will be. That is how GOD sees (the end from the beginning- Isaiah 46:10). Live by the principles of the WORD of GOD that will make you see as GOD sees.
Scripture meditation:
1 Thessalonians 5:18; Luke 6:37; 1 Corinthians 10:10-11; & 1 Peter 4:9.
Prayer:
Heavenly FATHER, all honour and glory to You. Thank You for making my path in life a shining light and making me an expression of Your glory. FATHER make me a solution to my world and generation. In JESUS NAME.
Confession:
I refuse to complain or grumble – I am a shining light to my generation for the excellent SPIRIT of the LORD is at work in me.

Enter HIS Rest!
Hebrews 4:10
Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 For the one who has once entered His rest has also rested from [the weariness and pain of] his [human] labours, just as God rested from [those labours uniquely] His own.
Blessed be GOD that has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms and has given us all that pertains to life and godliness in Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus, all believers have been ushered into rest free from the worries of this world and the struggle associated with it. CHRIST JESUS in Matthew 11:28 says “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” What a glorious life we have in CHRIST. On the cross, CHRIST said it is finished because HE took our pain, our struggles and gave us the gift of eternal life and a glorious life on earth all wrapped up in salvation. Why then do some Christians face challenging situations that drown them in the sea of life? Why do some prosper and have good success and others do not?
We are in the dispensation of Grace. However, there are Christians that misunderstand this concept of Grace. As a child of GOD, you have received the saving Grace of GOD when you accepted Jesus Christ as your saviour and LORD over your life. Every one of us have also been given manifold Grace to accomplish our purpose on earth, to prosper and to have good success. 1 Peter 4:10 – As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. This manifold Grace from GOD is activated and multiplied through the WORD of GOD (2 Peter 1:2-4). The word of GOD is spirit and life. We are spirit beings and therefore receive things from GOD through our spirit man by HIS word (HIS word in our spirit). The gathering of the saints, the study, and the meditation of the word of GOD is how we receive and remain in HIS rest.
Entering the rest of GOD requires consistent study, meditation, and fellowship with the WORD of GOD and HIS SPIRIT that is able make their Christian journey fruitful and productive. In the scriptures we receive prophecies, promises and wisdom of GOD. Let us therefore approach the throne of Grace and obtain mercy and Grace – the supernatural ability – the anointing that causes us to prosper and have good success. This gets activated through the study, meditation and rightly handling the WORD of GOD. Praise GOD!
Scripture meditation:
2 Peter 1:1-10, Isaiah 28:12; Hosea 4:6; Hebrews 4:16 & Romans 10:2.
Prayer:
Glorious FATHER, thank You for ushering me into the kingdom of your dear son JESUS CHRIST: a place of rest. I walk in this consciousness. I receive your word into my spirit that gives me rest and victory from the negativity of this world. In JESUS NAME.
Confession:
I do not struggle for I have entered rest in Christ Jesus!

Crucify The Flesh
Galatians 5:24
New International Version (NIV)
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
GOD gave us HIS SPIRIT and HIS WORD that gives us the Grace and ability to live a godly life that pleases HIM. We have been given the Grace (ability) to conquer unrighteous cravings of the human nature. Roman’s 6:12-14 says “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” The world is challenging and it will get more challenging. The world system threatens the Christian way of life. We are more exposed to negativity and its temptation more than ever. What is bad is now accepted as good and what is good is now called evil.
Now that we have been given a new life in Christ Jesus, let us through meditation of the scriptures, prayer and fellowship with one another in the Body of Christ crucify the sinful human nature with its passion and desires. It is impossible to do it with our own strength. It takes the Grace of GOD through HIS SPIRIT and HIS WORD. To be successful in this new life we must consistently and fervently engage ourselves in prayer and meditation of the scriptures. The WORD of GOD is what strengthens our spirit man and in turn our will to do what is right and shun what is evil. The world controlled by the devil will always present challenging situations that will threaten this new life in Christ. However, greater is HE in us that he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). Let us be disciplined to follow the ways of the LORD which is true repentance. Mark 1:14 -.and saying, “The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, abiding trust] in the good news [regarding salvation].”
If a Christian continues in unrighteous acts the power of GOD will cease to function in them and they become exposed to attacks of satan and his cohorts of darkness. When that happens a child of GOD will start to experience challenges in their health, finances, relationships and so on. The system of the world will trample on them (Matthew 5:13). Let us put aside the cravings of our human nature that do not glorify GOD. GOD wants you to be like HIM. That is the whole point of being a Christian: to operate in the DIVINE NATURE. Let us therefore honour the LORD with all that is us – our body, soul and spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Then we shall begin to see the manifestation of HIS divine power at work in us. Let us be deeply rooted in the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge so that we can be filled with all the fulness of GOD that is able to build us and bring to manifestation our glorious inheritance in Christ.
Scripture meditation:
Galatians 5:16-24, 2:20, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Timothy 4, Romans 6:6 & Romans 8:1.
Prayer:
Glorious FATHER, thank You for the new life in Christ Jesus. FATHER let your grace to live a holy life multiply in me and let my body continue to be a living temple for You to dwell always . In JESUS NAME.
Confession:
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus; I am dead to the sinful nature of the flesh!
